Made by Lynette, our distiller Chris’s wife, for a friend’s wedding, this drink is a variation on a Moscow mule.  The name of this cocktail is a portmanteau of the brides and groom’s last names – Schwartz + Waters.  The black peppercorns in the syrup make for a more robust and absolutely delicious twist on the traditional spicy ginger ale used in a Moscow mule.

Recipe Notes

The ginger-peppercorn simple syrup in this recipe is a 1:1 ratio, adding fresh ginger and whole black peppercorns to taste while heating the syrup.  Let the syrup steep with these ingredients for a few hours, then strain and use.
